Our dance journey is designed so that you can dive deep into tango – while also having space for relaxation, enjoyment, and connection. The day follows a loving rhythm of movement, exchange, and rest.

The morning begins relaxed with a hearty breakfast on the terrace – surrounded by fragrant herbs, ancient olive trees, and the gentle warmth of Sicily. After that, an intensive workshop session with Carlos & Duygu awaits you. This is about technique, musicality, conscious movement, and genuine connection.

The afternoon belongs to you: After lunch, there is plenty of free time to relax by the pool, take a walk in nature, enjoy a sauna session, or take a nap in the sun. In the late afternoon, you will deepen what you have learned in another training session – focusing on expression, dynamics, and dance freedom.

In the evening, it gets sociable: During the communal dinner, you can expect the diversity of Sicilian cuisine, accompanied by local wines and heartfelt conversations. And afterwards? The magic of the night begins. Every day we open the dance floor for the milonga – under the open sky, by candlelight, and with music that touches the heart.

Special highlights round off the experience: an Italian cooking evening, where you get hands-on and prepare pasta together with others. A wine tasting with regional drops directly from the estate. And as a festive highlight of the journey: the Milonga Mascherata – an elegant gala evening with an optional mask, stylish atmosphere, and plenty of space for dance, expression, and lightness.

All workshops are conducted in German, English, or Spanish. The content is tailored for intermediate to advanced levels. You travel alone or with a dance partner – we are happy to help find suitable pairs.

This journey offers you intense learning experiences, deep encounters, and the freedom to arrive fully in yourself – and in dance.

Arrival

The nearest airport is Catania Fontanarossa (CTA) in Sicily – from there you can reach the country resort Borgo del Carato in about 1 hour travel time.

The arrival is individual.

A transfer from the airport to the accommodation is in planning – we will inform you in good time whether this will be included in the price or available for optional booking.

Alternatively, you can rent a car on site or arrive by taxi / ride service. Free parking is available on the premises.

You will receive detailed arrival information and recommendations after your booking in a comprehensive welcome dossier.

Accommodation: Borgo del Carato

For the duration of our trip, the Borgo del Carato is exclusively reserved for our group.

This lovingly restored Sicilian estate combines historic charm with modern comfort – nestled in green nature, away from the hustle and bustle, yet easily accessible.

You will stay in stylish rooms or suites that have been carefully designed and impress with high-quality materials, tranquility, and atmosphere.

The amenities include, among others:

– spacious outdoor pool with sunbathing area
– small, fine wellness area (spa, sauna)
– fitness room
– cozy communal areas indoors and outdoors
– Wi-Fi throughout the premises

Culinary, you can expect full board with a Sicilian touch – meals are prepared with ingredients from the in-house production (olive oil, pasta, wine). Cooking is honest, seasonal, and made with a lot of love.

Whether you end the day in the pool, dance under the stars with a glass of wine, or retreat for a moment to the quiet courtyard – here you will find the perfect setting for your very personal tango break.

Carlos Paredes

Tango World Champion, stage dancer & passionate teacher

Carlos comes from Colombia and now lives in Germany. For over 27 years, Tango has been his language of life – powerful, precise, and full of emotion. He became 2006 World Champion in the category Tango Escenario in Buenos Aires and has since danced on international stages with orchestras such as Color Tango, Sexteto Mayor, and Fernando Marzán.

What makes him special: his combination of technical excellence, deep musicality, and the ability to truly touch people with his presence.

Carlos teaches Tango as an art form – with respect, clarity, and the desire to foster genuine connection in dance.

Duygu Nacar

Dancer, educator & creative force in Tango

Duygu comes from Germany and brings a unique, powerful energy to Tango as a former hip-hop dancer. For 10 years, she has dedicated herself to this form with passion – inspired by improvisation, body language, and musicality.

Her teaching style is precise, humorous, and conscious. She imparts technical tools as well as confidence in one's own expression. For Duygu, Tango is a wordless dialogue – honest, powerful, deep.

As a dance couple

Carlos & Duygu met in Colombia – and years later found each other in Germany as a dance couple. What connects them is the passion for a Tango that is more than figures: a lively, breathing dialogue between two people.

Their shared style combines stage experience with organic movement, modern didactics, and a palpable joy in sharing. They teach in German, English, and Spanish – and create spaces where you can develop, experiment, and grow as a dancer.

Participation Requirements

Our tango dance trip is aimed at dancerss with intermediate to advanced level.

Previous knowledge of tango argentino is required – secure walking, basic technique, and understanding of the dance connection are expected.

Individual registrations are welcome – we are happy to help you find a suitable dance partner.

Group Size & Exclusivity

The number of participants is limited to approximately 36–42 people to create a personal atmosphere and enable intensive learning. The hotel is exclusively reserved for our group, allowing you to dance, relax, and exchange ideas in a protected environment.

Language of Instruction

The instruction takes place primarily in English and can also be expanded to German or Spanish if necessary – depending on the composition of the group.

Our goal is for all participants to feel comfortable linguistically and to actively participate in the teaching process.

Booking & Payment

Booking is done directly through our online shop.

Payment is only possible with Visa or Mastercard.

After successful booking, you will receive an automatic confirmation via email as well as all further information for travel preparation.

Cancellation & Rebooking

Cancellation is possible at any time – the following conditions apply:

– Within 7 days of booking (only if more than 60 days remain until the start of the trip): 10 % processing fee

– Up to 90 days before the start of the trip: 20 %
– 89–60 days before the start of the trip: 40 %
– 59–30 days before the start of the trip: 60 %
– Less than 30 days before the start of the trip: 100 % (no refund)

A rebooking to a replacement person is possible free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the trip, provided we have all relevant information and agree. The cancellation or rebooking must be made in writing via email to info@dance-travels.com.

Travel Insurance

We recommend taking out a travel insurance, which covers both cancellation costs and health risks abroad. This is not included in the price and is the responsibility of the participants.

Behavior & Atmosphere

We wish for a respectful, appreciative interaction. Our dance trip should be a protected space where openness, mindfulness, and joy are paramount.

Should there be grossly disruptive behavior, we reserve the right to exclude participants from the trip. In such a case, there is no entitlement to a refund.

Photo & Video Recordings

During the trip, photo and video recordings will be made, which we may use for marketing purposes (e.g., website, social media).

By participating, you agree to this in principle. If you do not wish to be depicted, you can inform us at any time before or during the trip – we will of course respect that.
